Awh thank you! I’ve got to build up some resistance and strengthen the muscles around my ankle, so I’ve been doing more yoga lately. :]

Hello, my beauties!

Wow, it has been such a long time since I have posted on here. I don’t know if its the summer weather or my extreme lack of motivation, but either way I apologize.

So what’s new since I last posted on here…
I graduated from community college with my Associates in Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude! I have had about three weeks off from school, and I wish I could say I was being more productive. I sprained my ankle back in late April, and I’m afraid it still acts up every now and again. However, that was no reason for me to fall off the band wagon on my eating habits. I was so discouraged that I couldn’t work out and immediately fell back into my old eating habits. I haven’t gained any weight back though! Thank the lord, haha. I have lost some serious muscle mass and I feel so much more flabby than I did before.

But! I’m back on track to fixing it. Three days ago I started what is known as the Paleo Diet. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a diet that focuses on what our ancient ancestors used to eat. Experts argue that our body has not adapted to eating grain or dairy products. So on the Paleo diet you eat lean meat, fish, berries, vegetables, nuts, and other items you would expect a caveman to have eaten back in the day! Some people go really hardcore and do a raw diet, but I couldn’t imagine eating meat that hasn’t been cooked. So far it’s going really well, and isn’t as difficult as I anticipated. What’s amazing is that by eating this way and cutting the sodium out of my diet, I’ve already lost four pounds of water weight!!

My boyfriend and I are going on vacation to Sanibel island in three weeks, and I’m hoping by sticking to this diet and adding in some low impact exercise I can lose a little more weight before I slip on that bikini! I would love to get back in to Insanity, but I’m fairly certain I would end up hurting my ankle again. Oh well, soon enough! It’s better for me to heal up the right way. :]
